Tricia is grateful and excited to join the Milkweed team providing peer support. She comes to Milkweed with an array of lived experiences including homelessness, addiction, Trichotillomania disorder, emotional trauma as well as physical and sexual abuse. She has a passion and determination to find beauty and purpose in challenging life experiences.

She believes in the value of having positive supportive connections, love and encouragement amid life’s challenges and successes. This coincides with her passion to serve others without judgment or expectation allowing them to see their own potential, value and worth.

Tricia has rebuilt her life from the ground up with a foundation of her Christian faith, love, support and encouragement from her family. She was able to meet the expectations of social services, maintain sobriety and find gainful employment. She is blessed to have a safe, cozy, loving and stable home with her two beautiful children, two dogs and a lot of unconditional love. She supports her health and wellness by engaging with positive connections within her community. She is actively involved with her church family and recovery family.

She finds significant importance and value in the things that she surrounds herself with today. In her spare time, you will find her playing cribbage, going to the gym with her friends, getting lost in a good book, spending time outdoors enjoying nature and walking her dogs. Some of her favorite days are spending quality time with her children and puppies snuggled up on the couch watching a movie.

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehends it not.
